Quality Engineer Supply Chain - North America

Based at the Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd facility in Broomfield, CO, this position supports ongoing supplier management tasks for all of the Pilatus supply chain stakeholders. Focusing on suppliers in North America, this role is responsible for maintaining and improving supplier quality in accordance with agreed contractual terms. The primary focus will be monitoring and resolving supplier quality issues, conducting audits of suppliers, and supporting various quality projects as required. What you do

  • Supports needs within the North American supply base
  • Monitors and resolves supplier quality performance
  • Performs supplier risk analysis
  • Communicates proactively with all Pilatus supply chain stakeholders
  • Travels for in-person support or audits as required
  • Supports ongoing supplier management tasks
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with suppliers
  • Approves new aerospace suppliers and renews aerospace suppliers
  • Maintains Aerospace Supplier Portal for EASA Part-21 and 14 CFR 145
  • Supports determining and tracking supply chain KPIs
  • Ensures supplier corrective actions and manages closure of Inspection Reports
  • Supports implementation of the overall supply chain strategy
  • Collaborates with internal teams and provides constructive feedback
  • Identifies process bottlenecks and supports implementation of changes
  • Suggests solutions for process improvements
  • Participates in special projects as required

What you bring

  • B.S. in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within the aircraft industry
  • Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally on short notice
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EASA Part-21 Subpart G and 14 CFR 145
  • Experience in aircraft assembly and/or maintenance
  • Ability to develop relationships and interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination required for business-related travel
