What you do

  • Coordinate the hardware and geodata information systems (GIS) engineering activities necessary for the development, modification and improvement of Pilatus flight simulators, mission planning/debriefing and computer based products subsystems
  • Oversee system hardware architecture design decisions, including IT implications, in collaboration with the products chief engineer and subject matter experts
  • Retain responsibility over products safety, including the implementation of the necessary international safety standards for low voltage machinery, REACH and RoHS directives
  • Oversee the development, modification and improvement of GIS databases (visual, radar, maps, charts) for the aircraft, flight simulators, mission planning/debriefing systems
  • Prepare technical offers, including forecasted costs and schedule, work breakdown structures and documentation in support to the bid management teams
  • Actively engage in department processes and procedures improvements and standardization, writing and redacting engineering handbooks processes and procedures

What you bring

  • University Master grade in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of work experience in relevant fields, specifically in concepts development, requirements management, validation and verification testing methodologies and processes. Preferably for the design of training and simulation systems
  • At least 2 years of experience a team leadership position
  • Knowledge of international standards for hardware design and their safe operation
  • Knowledge of complex hardware/software/man-in-the-loop components architecture design
  • Knowledge of requirements management tools (DOORS) and issues management systems (Jira)
  • C1 level in English as a minimum
