Composite Prototype Engineer (a)

What you do

• Take on a leading role for composite prototype and test part manufacturing in a diverse range of greenfield development projects
• Prepare manufacturing, technology and development process input to support reviews meetings and certification efforts
• Prepare risk assessments for new composite design concepts from a material & technology standpoint
• Define material qualification and technology verification needs as fitting into the general composite development framework at Pilatus
• Support shopfloor and serial maturity projects with regards to optimized processing methods

What you bring

• Masters degree in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering with specialization on lightweight materials
• Sound and proven experience in composite manufacturing technologies, including hands-on experience with prototype build processes
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a composite-related aviation engineering environment
• Fluent in English and German (C1 verbal and written)
• Ability to closely cooperate with all stakeholders in an inter-disciplinary and vertically-integrated team
• Highly motivated, assertive mindset with the ability to work under challenging timescales in a dynamic and responsive environment
