You will learn the basics of technical drawing, product design and engineering processes. You will sketch out ideas and solutions for components and use them to prepare production literature and related documentation. You will model individual parts and assemblies on a computer, and draw up parts lists as well as production and assembly instructions. Your time in the workshop will give you an insight into the different production areas associated with parts production and assembly. You will also be trained in developing and designing aircraft components, jigs and tools.
