Purchasing Coordinator

We have an immediate opening in the Purchasing department at our U.S. headquarters. The Purchasing Coordinator position responsible for coordinating the order process for the company's material needs and ensures that materials and supplies are ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Selects suppliers, issues purchase orders, maintains records and processes returned goods.

What you do:

  • Issues purchase orders to suppliers in compliance with Rules of Authority and established procedures
  • Corresponds with suppliers for quotations, order confirmations and shipping information
  • Audits purchase orders for delivery dates and maintain contact with vendors to ensure delivery of materials when promised
  • Resolves problems with suppliers regarding non-conformance issues for rejected items
  • Coordinates the delivery of parts and materials according to the production schedule, customer orders, and vendor contracts
  • Communicates with other departments originating orders and keeps them informed regarding status of order
  • Maintains stock levels through automatic reordering process
  • Assists other departments with purchase requests

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to two years of purchasing related experience
  • Business aviation knowledge preferred
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office software including Excel, Word, and Outlook
