Aerodynamics Engineer (a)

What you do

• Perform the aerodynamic design of lifting surfaces, high-lift systems, control surfaces, engine nacelles, engine inlets and their integration on turboprop and/or jet aircraft
• Perform aerodynamic analysis using a variety of analytic tools and methods (e.g. Vortex Lattice codes, Panel Method codes, high fidelity CFD codes), for both external and internal flows
• Participate in the aerodynamic definition, design, and optimization of all external aircraft aerodynamic surfaces, and their integration with the airframe and the powerplant system of propeller- and jet-powered aircraft
• Active participation in inter-disciplinary design and analysis activities for new aircraft developments, and in support of existing aircraft modification projects
• Develop numerical simulation (CFD) best practices and methods and generate aerodynamics models for aircraft performance, flight dynamics and loads calculation purposes
• Support tasks related to wind tunnel and flight testing campaigns, preparation of engineering analysis reports for certification purposes and production and customer support queries

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, with more than 7 years of experience in fixed-wing aircraft design and certification (turboprop and/or jet aircraft)
• Sound knowledge of fixed wing aircraft aerodynamics, and experience in applying relevant aerodynamics methods for fixed-wing aircraft analysis and optimization
• Sound industry experience with state of the art CFD tools and methods for meshing, simulation and post-processing of results
• Hands-on experience in the creation of aerodynamics models
• Familiarity with relevant aircraft certification requirements for CS/FAR 23 or 25 aircraft (Subpart B)
• It will be considered as an advantage if you bring experience with wind tunnel testing, multi-disciplinary optimization tools and associated analysis, flight dynamics simulations, aeroacoustics tools and associated analysis or Matlab/Simulink
