What you do

  • Define and derive system requirements based on customer contracts, market needs to design Pilatus pilot training products with focus on computer based training (CBT) and learning management systems (LMS)
  • Conduct the technical activities required to design the system architecture, including the inputs from the hardware and software engineers to ensure correct, testable and verifiable system implementation
  • Define and perform necessary tests as part of the verification and validation plan
  • Support system installation and testing at customer site until system enters into service, which may require international travels
  • Provide the necessary inputs to the configuration management (CM) by creating the engineering bill of material (EBOM) and manufacturing bill of material (MBOM)
  • Write and review technical documentation part of the project/product lifecycle, such as technical specifications, system requirements and system design specifications applying the ISO 15288 and ISO 12207 approaches

What you bring

  • Master degree in Software, Electronic or Aeronautical Engineering with focus on complex systems
  • At least 3 years of experience as System Engineer in complex hardware / software systems with focus on distributed learning
  • Experience in system engineering methodologies (e.g. 15288/12207/MIL-498) as well as in engineering requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS)
  • Excellent social and communication skills with fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Ability to perform to tight deadlines and under pressure on parallel activities, prioritizing tasks with a structured approach and working equally well in a team or individually with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to travel internationally
