Facilities Maintenance Technician

RECEPTION / FACILITY MANAGEMENT

What you do
- Assists in the operations of grounds keeping, snow removal, equipment installation/modifications, janitorial services, and facility and equipment preventative maintenance or repair
- Checks hangars and facilities daily to ensure proper functioning equipment, including lighting, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, security, and overall cleanliness
- Becomes proficient in facilities layout, design, systems, and equipment operations and function
- Maintains building systems, building equipment, and ground support equipment
- Assists with safety inspections and corrective actions
- Establishes, maintains, and fosters positive and effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments
- Follows safe working practices and makes appropriate use of safety equipment and PPE as required
- Safely operates company equipment including lifts, hoists, tools, vehicles, etc.
- Organizes and maintains inventory of tools and supplies
- Assists in oversight of vendors and contractors
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Facilities Maintenance Manager
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical training or one year or more of related experience preferred
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools and ability to utilize blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary
- Strong customer service skills and effective communication and time management skills
- Self-starter, self-motivator, results oriented, open to learning new skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must qualify as a U.S. person in compliance with ITAR 22 CFR 120.15
