Your Tasks
- Coordinate certification activities between the various Pilatus specialist groups, the EASA Part 21 DOA system and the airworthiness authorities world-wide for the Trainer Aircraft
- Represent the company in meetings with the Swiss and foreign airworthiness authorities
- Interpret the airworthiness requirements and advise the various departments in all matters related to airworthiness and certification
- Cooperate with the authority in proposing the Type Certification Basis including Special Conditions
- Coordinate the required Type Design definition documents and ensure any retained compliance document is submitted to the authority
- Manage the airworthiness approval of Instructions for Continued Airworthiness and Operating Instructions
With this you convince us
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in an engineering discipline within the aerospace industry, with general knowledge of system design & development (ARP 4754A) and continued airworthiness
- General familiarity with Airworthiness Regulations (FAR/CS-23 or FAR/CS-25) and with EASA Part 21 requirements (Subparts A, B, D, J, M, P) including AMC & GM
- General knowledge of Development Of Civil Aircraft and Systems (ARP 4754A) and Safety Assessments (ARP 4761)
- Knowledge of Operating Instructions (AFM for compliance with FAR/CS 23.1581) and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA for compliance with FAR/CS 23.1529) principles and content
- Proficient communication and presentation skills in English and the ability to chair meetings with external authorities
